COMMUNITY MAPPING, based on my experience, is a piece of cake.Nah! Just kidding.

We took more than two attempts just to observe our areas on foot, not mentioning the heat of the sun. With a paper and a pen, we manually plotted from Corrales street to Capistrano through the streets Abejuela to Gaerlan.

From the past exercises, I thought this task would be so easy. Yet after we set on foot, I said to my self “this will be a bloody battle”. Community mapping as the firststep to development deserves a lot of patience because it is systematic, manual yet effective non-verbal way of finding out how we view a particular area.

It made me conclude that the exercises under pressure or not were reasonable enough in order for us to be aware and form insights in community mapping.

As long as community people and those concerned will partake in these activities like community mapping, surely, development will be achieved. Thus, community mapping will be applied through minds that understand, hearts that consider, and of course, hands that help. Also through encouraging not only people in position but especially the youths, we might see what is lacking and what we really needed for the improvement of our community.
